Default Yeah, I know they're flame retardant, but...

Can you use an iron on the "high" setting to attach sponsor patches to a driving suit?

I'd hate to find out that my overly expensive fire suit is scorchable by an iron as I put on my Hoosier patch.

It may melt the fibers..

I'd sew it on.

I take mine to the local dry cleaners which usually do minor tailoring services-- they charge a few dollars a patch, but I'd attach them with some small straight pins first so they would know exactly where you want them sewn onto.

Your patches need to be sewn on with NOMEX thread. It is available from the same outlet where the suit was purchased. Using cotton or worse acrylic thread is a NO-NO. It provides a pathway through the suit for heat and flame intrusion.
