Canadian Grand Prix on Fox
Am I the only guy who has noticed that the Fox presentation of this F1 race on my TV is NOT in High definition, of even low definition, but NO definition? I can't identify the cars because the definition is so poor, and even the everpresent FOX logo on the top and the banner on the bottom of the screen are almost unreadable. How can the FIA sell the rights to broadcast an important race to a network that does such a poor job of picture presentation (let alone their "F1 for idiots" dialog)?
Then after the race, Fox CUT off the post race driver interview (with Peter Windsor)......out of time, I guess. Fox SUX!

Looks like a regular 4:3 SD broadcast to me. Same as we got on SPEED until this year. I hope SPEED shows a replay in HD, it's been a pretty eventful race... even a couple of passes.

I'm upset b/c my DVR didn't catch it with the change to FOX. Looking ahead we won't see it on speed until wednesday at 12:30pm.
Yeah, the announcers frequently refer to the "international feed" when the shots don't correlate with what they want to be chatting about.
No spoilers please!

Dammit...my DVR is not pick it up either.....
I gave up and looked at f1's website because no way I'd make it to Wednesday.
Eventful would be an understatement.

Mine started off as a full width broadcast, then for the last 10 laps, switched over to a sidebar broadcast. Them not me.
I have my set to show gray sidebars for a standard broadcast, but this one had black sidebars, so I know it was being set out as a toned down signal
Wierd!
For F1 races, they are limited to the FIA feed.
Now if we can get the SCCA races in HD.

Sure, HD would be better but I didn't have a problem watching the broadcast.
Oh Hamilton! Plowing into a car stopped at a red light on pit lane. I know **** happens and that's racing but what a bonehead move. He ought to feel bad about that one.

From my seats in section 1 at the starting line and directly across from the pits it was pretty good.
Sorry braging my first trip to a F1 race. Everyone need s to go at least once. And the whole red light at pit exit was really wierd. There was no reason to stop the cars exciting. We really got our moneys worth all weekend!

According to my search I believe Fox showed it in HD in the East and somewhat dismal quality on the West Coast. I pay over $100 a month for Sat and am so ticked off at them, the few times I can actually take off to watch and I get a crap picture!!
The race itself was great fun, my son loves BMW so he was about to ****** himself
Kubica deserved his first win, I am very glad for him, points lead, BMW second in manf, wow, who would have ever imagined!
I guess Hamilton either had the sun in his eyes, the boss said pour it on or he had one exceptionally potent brain fart!
This has been a more interesting season than most over the last number of years(last year was as well, Hamilton of course, then all the drama of spying ruined it, spying has gone on for ever, nothing new in the least!)
