How do they compare to the Hoosier R6 and A6 in terms of grip?

How does the diameter compare to Hoosier A6 345/18? I ask because I ordered Goodyear slicks and could not use them since the diameter was 4" greater than the Hoosier. Such a difference in diameter throws off the electronics.

Thank you.

The 27/65 Fronts are 650mm which is 25.6" just like the stock fronts. For the rear if you're using. The 30/65 is slightly bigger.

The 31/71 is bigger than stock in the rear by less than an inch but I don't have that information in front of me.

I have asked a ton of people about Hoosiers and Full Race Slicks and they seem to just laugh and say 'They make those for a reason'. But I've heard everything from 1 second a lap to 4 seconds a lap. I'll say somewhere in the middle 2 secs a lap.

Mike,

Can you post the available 17" and 18" customer slick sizes or pm a pdf file to fatbillybob@yahoo.com. also, if that file has a true measurement that would be great. For example 245 640 18 pirelli slicks are actually physically narrower than 245 640 18 hoosier ga/dp slicks. Sometimes if we are close to rubbing and that 1/4" or so really matters.

yes I will get more information as soon as I can. i do have a pdf file about the slicks. it discusses camber settings, tire temps and how they relate to each other. tire pressures too. 30 hot pressure is correct. i am having some connectivity issues right now so please feel free to give me a call. 9162614000

Here is the info. The 30/70s are discontinued and replaced with a 30/65 front and 31/71. The new tire technology has a taller rear tire to help absorb bumps and contain grip while utilizing more spring rates usually found on race cars.

Sorry about the format I'll clean it up when I have more time. I have to place some orders guys.

Thanks,

Mike

One item I'd like to add. These are full racing tires and the bead is more difficult to seat than your average street tire. Therefore it CAN take more air pressure to seat the bead.

Also I've gotten some very good feedback regarding the Michelins as well. Thanks,

Mike

How do these Michelin slicks handle 100+ degree ambient temps?

These are a full racing slick so they are hard to get up to temps in one or two laps. The hot temps will actually help these. Especially the mediums will work very well and last a long time. I've gotten some great feedback from customers already.

Great results so far. A pro level racing tire for a reasonable price. Same tire most of the Z06Rs run in the FIA GT3 category.
