Default New LG Motorsports wheel coming ** LM GT-2 wheel** Race inspired

Hi guys, Available from LG Motorsports. Deposits being taken now for Fall delivery.

The design program was a blessing allowing us to design the wheel then send it out for a Stereo Lithography prototype to be made. From delivery of the wheel file to the day we got the 1/4 scale Plus the full scale "Printed" wheel was only 2 weeks. That has shortened the time from concept to build greatly.

We will have our new LG Motorspsorts LM GT-2 Wheel available in the fall in time for Thanksgiving.

It is a split spoke design that captures the flavor of our GT2 Corvette ALMS wheels as well as other wheels that we took Design que's from.

The BBS look is great, and now we use the split 7 spoke design in the GT2 class in the ALMS.

The wheel will come in C6 and C6 Z fitments, plus we will also have available the 18" rear wheel for the Track cars. Plus the Z06 wheels will fit 15" Front Brembo brakes. I will post the sizes up later but essentially they will be just slightly wider than stock by a very small amount, which will allow stock tires to be mounted right back on them.

Fall delivery. Taking deposits now so get your order in.

Here are a couple of photos that will give you the idea of how they look.

Included is a 1/4 scale rapid prototype that we had made before we had the 1:1 full scale rapid prototype done. (I just thought it was cool to see "fingers" on the miniture wheel)

I will have more photos later as we progress.

Thanks

Lou Gigliotti.

Anthony will be hearing from me first thing tomorrow! Any idea cost wise? I've been waiting on HRE to build this wheel & as far as I know, BBS don't make it on C6Z size. I already sold the Forgelines ZX3R because it does not fit the Brembo's without using a spacer. This wheel would be a homerun for us RR guys. Hurry them up Lou!!!! Keep the price reasonable though! Pretty please!!!!

Thanks, (Anthony is out on Vacation till Monday)

Ask and you shall receive

We can have them made at the factory with any finish that we want. Polished and chrome will be the most expensive while painted (at the factory) will be the base line.

We are trying to come in at $2395 painted - if Pre ordered so they can be done at the factory in one of the stock colors, (black, comp gray and silver.)
Once the wheels are in stock, then a color change will be extra. As will chrome or polished.

So if you get your order in for a basic wheel in either "Silver, Comp Gray, or Black" then we can order them that way.

The same for Chrome or Polished but we don't know the additional price for these two options.

But as long as we order one of the standard colors, they will be priced at $2395 for a set of 4 wheels

The same company that makes our LG World Challenge wheel will be producing these wheels.

And the 18" rears will be available for both C6 and C6 Z06.

Thanks

Lou Gigliotti

Cool

My color choices would be, just the brushed aluminum finish or flat black

Nothing fancy as we all know how CLEAN race wheels stay

Be one of the first to get your hands on the wheels when they arrive by placing your deposit with our sales dept. either via phone or through our website. We already have a number of names on sets when they arrive!

Here is a good photo using our 25% protptype model to confirm brake clearance with Brembo 15" brakes on the Z06 fitment.

We are still working on the C6 wheel to gain the same clearance.

Weight will be what it is. We will first insure the strength requirements then it will be as light as a Pressure cast wheel can be without compromising the strength.

Thanks
Lou Gigliotti

***UPDATE FROM LOU***

"Hi guys,

we announced the new LG GT2 wheel that will be coming out soon. The molds are in the process, and they will now be a "Spin Cast" process.

Our wheels have 7 split spokes like our BBS ALMS wheels. And the spokes also have a drop in every other spoke.

Our wheels are also being built using a Spin-cast method, which is about 1.5 times stronger in the spun area, which is about 75% of the wheel. Spin cast wheels fall between a full Forged and Pressure cast in strength and lightness.

We will also have 18" rear wheels made for the guys going to the track for Track Tires. So either stock 18 front 19 rear or optional 18" rear for the track guys.

ALso keep in mind that they were designed to fit Brembo 15" brakes in the front, so all Big Brake kits should fit. Even the Z06 brakes on the C6 brake conversion.

C6 Z wheels will be 18 x 10 front and 19 x 12.5 rear. That way you can still use your factory tires.

C6 sizes will be 18 x 9 front and 19 x 10.5 -- again, to allow use of stock tires if you wish, or larger since they are wider by 1/2".

Still looking at delivery in the first month or two of 09 but most likely it will be end of Feb or first of March.

We should have our first mountable and testable wheel in Mid January.

Here is a good photo shop of the wheels on a Z06. Again, it is just a photo shop but a good one at that.

-Lou"
