Default Stoptech Aero Rotor Replacement

So which vendor offers a racers discount on replacement Stoptech rotors? You can certainly find the brake kits on any search but who offers discounted genuine replacement rotors and hardware?

Thanks!

Can I ask how long did your originals last? How many events, etc?

I just bought some from Anthony @ LG.

That's a very good question. I got them in 2004 but i've been out of the game for a while so it's hard for me to say. If i had to guess i would say i would expect these to last an entire season for the avg track rat...say 10-12 events of hard running.

I know that David Farmer ran them straight off the shelf and could tell exactly what kind of expectation to have so hopefully he will chime in.

Lou ran them but i'm not sure if he ran the "off the shelf" package or not.

Best prices i'm seeing are between $245 - $260/rotor and kit. It's a little disappointing as I originally made my decission on Stoptech based on replacement costs. I believe back then the retail was $198/ea.

Hopefully someone has a lead on a good price.

Thanks

We used the same shelf parts you get in the kit

Keep an eye on the hats after you change rotors, they are a consumable like the rotors are, just at different intervals.

As for longevety, that all depends on the driver, the pad choice, the track and the grip availible.

Racing Brake sells some at a bit of a price break to the Stoptech. Think the life is about the same based on my experience on the first set I tried. The second set seems to be not wearing as well though we'll see how they do over course of next few track days.

jrz1 How was the fasteners on the Race brake set up. I have purchased a set but have not had a need to replace them yet. Thanks for input?

I've seen the racingbrake rotor as well just didn't know how they held up versus the stoptech.

Bobby-What do you price the stoptech 355x32 rotor and kit at? And do you offer anything as an alternative to stoptech aerorotor that may be more economical but gives similar performance?

WOW, as active as this company is at selling product, no vendor can step forward. I'm blown away on such a popular product.

I'm not a forum vendor, so I can't tell you that I sell Stoptech and RB parts. Sorry that I can't tell you that.

They're no problem and seem to work/hold up well. They are different but again seem to work well.

I just replaced a set of RB's, and the hardware is fine. It's always a pain to change friction rings (lots of tiny bolts), but it's mostly painless.
