Default Dip Stick Popping Out At Poconos

I have a 02 Z with a maggie supercharger. My dip stick kept popping up after a few times around the south track at the Pocono's. I was told I should have a oil seperator. Has anyone ever heard of this?

Might want to ask this question on the Forced Induction Forum - I'm thinking it might be excessive crankcase pressure caused by the S/C. did this occur before you added the S/C? Noticed you're from Saugerties - I'm originally from Hunter (up on the mountain) - have relatives in Saugerties.

I've seen that happen on 3 cars now, and they all had very bad things happen soon after. Let's hope not, but I'd keep some padding in the budget.

excessive crank case pressure - it is a bad sign - just ask ZO6cool....

If you are very, very lucky your PVC (positive crankcase ventilation) was blocked or obstructed....

Most other fixes are a band aid to a leaky cylinder or two...

Not a good idea, it is popping out because something wants out, if it does not get out there it will find another place. You need to find the cause and give it an appropriate tank to vent to.

You have too much crankcase pressure, very likely from piston blow bye. If stock pistons, you likely have cracked the ringlands from detonation. Do a leakdown test on the cylinders to verify and be prepared for a rebuild.

Catch cans, breathers, etc. are band aids that don't fix the root cause.
