Default Race Trailer Sold Combustibles

SOLD SOLD SOLDWhy drive the vette to the track? I have a pretty nice NEW set up I have to sell. $3300 FOB Columbus, Ohio. Ohio has no titles for small trailers, but it has been registered and insured!

Its a 20ft steel flat with a dovetail. It has ramps from discount ramps see HERE

These allow a standard height C6 Z06 load and only touch the wind deflector under front. Splitter, etc does NOT hit anything!

We bolted up a truck bed box to the front, so that we could mount a winch and battery. Winch has a wired remote switch. Winch from HERE

In doing these things, we also added 'wings' to side of truck box, so that the tow vehicle does NOT pelt the car with debris.

7000lb rating with only one axle with electric brakes. Removable driver's side fender.

Towed from Ohio to Katech Track Attack with 3/4 ton Chevy truck. Did NOT notice trailer at all. Was PERFECT!

Also, comes with 5000lb tie down straps and j-hooks for the corvette frame. (actually hauled a 1/2 tone PU with this and those j-hooks worked there!)

Buy this and NOTHING else is needed to haul your vette!

E-Mail z06forsale@yahoo.com or shoot me a PM

thanks, John

What is the minimum truck needed as a tow vehicle?
Will a Silverado 1500 suffice?

very interested. Not sure I understand about the single axle/electric brake statement. It looks like it has 2 axles?

Also, what is the cost new of this?

His trailer has 2 axles, but only has electric brakes on one axle (probably the front). Most folks that tow recommend brakes on both axles. You can buy conversion kits for the second axle, which is not a big deal since the trailer is already wired. But, of course, that does cost something to do it and it's a bit of work to do the brake install.

Looks like a nice setup at a decent price.

i used silverado 2500 diesel as tow vehicle.

i'm sure any full size pickup is ok. using a Honda pilot or whatever would require two axle brake set-up. on a full size truck set-up... brakes help SLOW trailer and keep it straight. on a small vehicle tow vehicle set-up... brakes have to help STOP trailer.

there is a difference.

trailer was $3100 new, in May of this year. THEN added ramps, winch, straps, etc.

good trailer...good price...

send me a PM, as this has to go (sold Z06)

as nice as it is and a good deal too, I will have to pass. By the time I factor in driving from atlanta and back in the tahoe to pick it up and gas/hotel/food costs, its another 6-700 on top of it. I will have to find something a little more local.

Bummer - sorry to hear you sold your Z. I've been kicking around getting a trailer but I'll need to buy another tow vehicle as my FJ is only rated for 5000 lbs.

I had an open trailer like that and it only had brakes on one axle and it was never a prioblem and never lacked for braking.

BTW, is there a spare tire on the trailer?
