Default C5 slave cylinder mod - advice please

I had any unfortunate trannsmission incident which resulted in being stuck in 4th gear due to broken 3/4 syncro keys, damaged blocking rings, and damaged input shaft bearing. All fixed now ready to go back in the car (02 C5z, 23k mi).

I bought a new LUK slave cylinder since everything is out and am adding a remote clutch bleed line.

I've read some stuff about hydraulic line restrictors. Does anything need to be drilled out to free up the hydraulic line?

Thanks!

Default slave mod

I modded mine before the shop installed it. I like the feel. It seems to force more fluid through it and makes for a quicker engagement. I never got third gear rubber like I get now. Pretty cool if you ask me. I
would do it again. I pulled the slave line out of the slave itself and drilled the hole larger, blew it out with compressed air and reinstalled it. It was tricky getting it out at first, gotta remove a cotter pin. Hope this helps you.

Search for the drill mod and you will get what you need I had mine done years ago when I had a new clutch put in.

Is there a chance this mod would solve the occassional high RPM stiffness I experience in the transmission with 2-3 and 3-4 shifts?

I sure hope so.

Doing this mod will not solve any issues wish "Clutch Pedal Sticking" or "High RPM Gear Lock Out." These issues are a direct result of the OEM self adjusting pressure plate. Get rid of it and you won't have that problem anymore.

As good practice, whenever they car is torn down to this extent replace the slave and check the Torque Tube Bushings.

Also, Adding a Tick MC will not solve the above mentioned problems.

If you have any additional questions feel free to ask.
