What else do I need? (oil cooler help)
I just bought a used Oil Cooler and a used LPE Oil Cooler Adapter Block and need some parts to make this all work.
The oil cooler is -12 and the block is -10. I need all the necessary parts in-between the adapter and the cooler, so all lines, hose ends, necessary tools to connect lines to hose ends, heat shield protectant, etc.
Can anyone provide me a list of what I need? Length of hose, etc...
Many thanks in advance!!

Adam,
Who made the cooler core? if its a setrab, you can remove the -12 ends and buy -10 ends, which is your best bet. Other than that here is my parts list for my oil cooler that I'm installing this weekend
10' -10 SS hose
4 90* swivel fittings
6' 1" ID thermo-tec heat wrap
however, if i were you I'd do this.
10' -10 SS hose
2 90* -10 fittings
2 an10 to an12 fittings
2 90* -12 fittings.
6' 1" ID thermo-tec heat wrap
installing the ends is a little work but not a problem. I used some old oil to help things fit together, but took me about an hour to get all 4 ends on. After that you might need to solder some wire on to extend the oil temp probe so it will fit on the LPE block.
summit has everything you need as far as the plumbing. and dont worry about the special AN wrenches, just be ginger with them.
good luck

I think in the long run yes...
I got the Oil Cooler and the Adapter block for $60 shipped...The lines and fitting will run around $330 shipped...So $390ttl. The Lingenfelter kit is $600, Pfadt (which is what I really want) is $845....So all in all I will save $210..

Adam,
I can do better then the 330 for a couple lines and fittings. I don't know the cost for the -12 to -10 adapters but I don't think they are too much money. I will try to figure out a price if you haven't pulled the tigger yet. I sell a block adapter, lines and fittings for 329.

Randy,
I have not pulled the trigger on anything yet (except for the cooler and block adapter), and it may be several weeks (saving pennies), so take your time and let me know..
Thanks!
