Default What's happening - tc off - wet pavement - drivetrain shudders

I was doing an auto-x on wet pavement (it rained heavily all day). After the Auto-x runs were over, I turned the traction control off and after the car had started rolling on pavement (both asphalt and concrete) I gave it lots of throttle a few times.

When I did this the whole drivetrain shuddered until I took my foot off the accelerator which was virtually immediately after the drivetrain started shuddering.

It was as if the tires (GY F1 Supercar non-runflats on C5 Z06) grabbed and then let go then grabbed. Another driver who was following me said that it appeared that when the tires grabbed, the pavement was dry and when they let go the pavement was still wet.

What causes this shuddering and what should I do about it other than avoiding substantial open throtttle.
