I would consider that a bad ending to my day at the track. Looks like he was semi okay.

Doesn't look like the collar of the suit was secured - is that the
flap visible on his left shoulder prior to the crash.

What era is this footage from? Pre HANS, apparently.

That was quite a fast and lengthy sprint for someone who has just
emerged from such an incident.
