Default Harness Bar Suggestions please...

I want to add a harness bar inside my 2008 Z06

I just saw a Hardbar installed inside of a friend's 2006 Z06 and although a nice bar, it did not allow the seats to be moved all the way back.
I need my seat back all the way.

Can anyone suggest a good bar that I can install in my 08' Z06 that will not interfere with the full seat travel..

Thanks

I know Brey Krause allows this on a C5Z...

Hardbar has a way of offsetting the back backwards now.

The C6 version looks a little different, but it alows full travel and some height adjustment as well. Even with this we are over 10 pounds lighter and it has been crash tested by numerous people at well over 100 MPH. In addition, our lap and sub belt bar works as an integrated system (the other have no sub belt mount!) and allows full seat travel. All is in stock for immediate delivery.

Sharkbar is a great product, very solid, well designed, easy install which looks factory when complete, allows complete travel/recline of either seat and excellent customer support.

Glenn, I have the Hardbar for a C6 Z06 as well as the precut panels and the Hardbar harness belt bars. I also have a camera mount for the Hardbar. Lastly, I have the Team Tech Ram Pac harnesses (driver and passenger). These are the clip in, pull down and are black and red. All purchased from Hardbar last year.

If interested call me at 410-707-2500 or e mail me at gbramage@comcast.net

I am located in Ellicott City, MD

Yes, we can now do it, but the powdercoating looks better. The PC better matches the color and texture of the panels. I was going to switch to anodizing, but I have changed my mind on that. Going forward, I wil have some of both in stock (next batch).

FWIW I put a Brey-Krause harness bar in my C6 and did not experience any restriction of seat movement. I'm using the stock seats until I put racing seats in.

Research parachute style 6pt harness set-ups. Yours as pictured will get you seriously hurt.

the 6 point sub issue is debated on every forumn, a few companies have anti sub 4 pts, but remember one thing , stock seat belts have no anit sub properties at all, yes they are not race seat belts, but the 6 pt he has will help hold the harness over his hip gridle to some extent, depending on his body size, impact etc. So it is better than not have the setup. and the 5/6 point bottom belts can be anchord from the rear and sat on , ie fighter pilot style, hardbar or one of the vendors has a unit that hold the lap and seat belts. one thing is for sure, a harness systems with the stock seats is not the best starting point for a race setup, comprise, but so is having a non-tube frame, or nonfull cage car.

Yes the debate is everywhere but there is no evidence that a poorly improperly mounted harness is ever better than stock belts. No harness manufactuer will tell you that routing subs in front of the seat cushion is acceptable. Stock seat belts are part of the OE safety system and you violate that systems integrity when you use harnesses. So if you change the stock system to something else you owe it to yourself to at least install that alternate system with knowledge and forethought. I think this poster may not know the risks. I don't want to come off as a know it all but as truely concerned for all my track brothers. We need to all take care of each other on and off track. It would take no effort on this poster's part to just slip the sub up the seat back to seat cushion gap and just sit on the subs for a much better sub system with hi stock seat. Everyone needs to take what is written on the boards with a grain of salt but at least do their own research.
