Looking for some help with T1 bars.
I just bought some T1 bars and wanted to know what endlinks to put on the car. I am just using the car for primarly autocrossing. The bars have Heim endlinks on them but I have read how loud the are. I was thinking about putting on just the stock z06 ones. The bars are going on a 99 FRC.
I assume once I install the bars and what ever endlinks I go with I need to have an alignment on the car.
Thanks for your help!!!
Ben

sway bar swap won't change alignment. I have no clue where all the noise people talk about is coming from with adjustable links. After 50,000 miles I have heard nothing from mine. You may have to shim the clamp that hold the isolator bushing so the rubber bushing is not loose but not crushed. I don't know if they ever changed the clamp to be the proper size. You could also get some VBP bushing that are harder poly than OEM. Lube them and after you have them in and tight they should slide to side but be tight. Set the end-link to no preload and you need the car on the ground with the suspension settled.

I'm also using T1 sway bars with the stock C5 metal endlinks. I use to use the adjustable endlinks that came with my Hotchkis bars, but they were too noisey - no matter how hard I tightened or lubricated them. LG Motorsports sells a special set of adjustable endlinks that don't make any noise, but I haven't tried them.
