Actually the above list is an incorrect listing. At the time of that posting I was in 12th place. Stan Wilson in the Viper was in 13th.

The rest of the field as I recall was MichaelTracy (the senior Tracy), Tim Hund, Natha Waldbaum, Eric Ritchie and Phil DiPippo.

Today was not so good for me. I have slipped in qualifying from 8th to 12th to now 14th. The real sad news is that McGinley put his car into the wall just after turn 10 in exactly the same spot he put it into the wall at the national on Labor Day weekend just over a month ago. He got the near totalled car fixed just in time to miss out on the race in the last qualifying session. He said to me, "I can't believe I did it again. I have thousands of laps around this track and I have hit the wall twice in the exact same place."

The 2nd from pole Zabinsky Ferrari spun today outside of turn three. I think he might have hit the wall. If he did it was minor damage, but he has a back-up car inside that massive 55' transport and 40' fifth wheel if I am not mistaken. I think that was his third spin there this week. He had one for sure in the rain right there and maybe another one yesterday as I recall.

Oli

Thanks for the update Oli. Good luck out there and pass my regards to all of my fellow racers. Very hard not to be there yet again. Please tell Mike I'm thinking about him and wish him the best. He's kind of my benchmark as we raced back and forth the whole 04 season... though he really was fast at Topeka.

Good to see a couple C5's still able to run ahead of some C6's.

Good luck Jerry and Dave!
