For stock Z06 sized rims, what tires do you all recommend for track only tires for RR/AutoX?

R-Compounds, definitely.

Hoosier R6, or Kumho V710 are probably the best tires available.

Depends whether they're on a Z06 or not, due to the fender clearances. 285 on the front and 315 on the rear, if on a Z06. 275 and 305, if on a non-Z06.


In my experience, noone can beat the prices at Tire Rack for new tires. However, if scrubs are ok, then see below.


Absolute best - Goodyear/Firestone racing slicks, if you can find them (very expensive, I think)

Next best - Hoosier R6, or Kumho V710 (affordable, but not cheap. About $1400 a set)

Best for the money - scrubs (i.e., barely used R-compounds from a professional racing series). How about a set of 4 for about $400, including shipping? Call John Berget at 262-740-0180 for all the details.

most of the national level guys running autocross were running 295s up front of the C5Z06s and 315s on the rear... those were A6's as well.

So they should fit just fine...

That's the sizes I'll have on mine next season.

Keith did you find wheels yet? I am thinking of selling both sets of my 17in CCWs. I am thinking of going with a different brake setup and will need new wheels if I do that.
