Default A ZR1 test video and magazine comparison

Here are a couple of interesting ZR1 comparison test links I found on one of my favorite trackday/racing forums in SoCal.

A really fun and favorable video:

A magazine test of Ferrari 599, Porsche GT2, GT-R and ZR1:

Interesting stuff.

One thing I found interesting was the dyno results on the Edmunds video. The 505 rwhp seems low, unless the hp losses due to the drivetrain are around 20%.

Thanks for sharing, and have a good one,
Mike

Every dyno is different. There's a thread about this in the ZR1 forum and a guy with a GT-R dyno'd at 434hp vs. the claimed 406 in the video. So assuming that the ZR1 would make more like 530whp or more. But conditions, dynos, etc. always change where you can see some different numbers.

My friend has a Honda Civic track car and I've seen him dyno on 4 or 5 different dynos. Sometimes the numbers are real close and on others I've seen it as much as 30hp off from the others. Just an example.

Back on topic the ZR1 is SICK!

The Gt-r sounded like a lot easier car to drive, and with such a big price difference it would be more in my reach and driving skill level.
If Nissan adapts it to their Z, it would/could be mind-boggling.
I'm sticking with my vette/vert/z51.
