Well this is interesting timing, it turns out my latest contract is helping design a new type of engine. It's neither gasoline nor a diesel cycle engine, but it will run on both.

We're building a prototype to prove that the cycle works.
Anyone here put ever put EFI on a 50cc engine?

Yes

Renault tried a camless version of it, but had trouble controlling it's movement rates.

Burning Brakes
Intersting use of a circular lobe. Not the way Ducati does it.
And Desmodromics have been around long before Ducati made motorcycles. Dates back to the 19-teens. One advantage they hold is the ability to open the valve quickly (i.e., a steep ramp on the opening lobe since not resisting a spring.)
Somewhere I have a link to numerous Desmo valve designs.
