Man Room Project Almost Done, Picture inside
This is a ALMS P1 Rear Rim that was damaged in 2008 from a wall. It had a 1" chunk taken out of the lip and is no good to them, so I kissed up and got it for free for the garage/Man room.
I used some 2 part epoxi and a cardboard backing to rebuild the missing lip and then hand sanded & shaped it back to original. I then blasted the powder coat off and then primed, painted and cleared it. Called BBS and asked for the wheel stickers that originally came on it and they sent them to me.
Mounted up one of out Kumho ALMS rear P1 tires and this is what you get. I am making a table stand next that will attach to the underside of rim for a hightop round table. Then have a glass guy cut me a round beveled edge piece of glass to sit on top with 2" of overhang.
I have 2 Corvette bar stools waiting for it when it's done. Thought you guys might like to see this.
Enjoy,
Aaron Quine

Looks sweet, let me know if you want me to autograph something for your man room. It will be one of a kind I'm sure.

SWEEEEET!!
I need to get me one of those to replace the crappy coffee table we have in our Man/Woman/Dog/Game room. That also gives me a great idea for a pedastal to get the slot machine up off the floor.
Thanks for sharing!

nice find, and nice fix
I have an engine coffee table shortblock that i've been working on for a couple of years, that I need to finish
my neighbor just gave me a nose off the #42 Texaco/Havoline Dodge (NASCAR) which I am mounting to hang from the shop ceiling. Gotta love garage art.

If I had a garage like that it would go something like this. "Honey, I'm changing my address" She would ask "where to and are we getting a divorce". My reply, "out back, we will talk about it after this game of pool"

Of course your wheel is way cooler, I got the glass top at Pier One Imports. It was half the cost of getting one custom cut.
