Default Hyperco Coil Springs

I'm looking for a chart that includes a "coil bind" length as well as a spring rate and length. Eibach supplies such a chart but I've been unable to find one for Hyperco.

I would try calling them.

I emailed them. Their website has an equation for solidHeight=(numCoils - 0.25)*wireDiameter but they don't have a table for those values online, either. :-)

Sounds like they want you to buy the spring to get that missing info.

Not quite that bad. They emailed back that they don't have a "solid height" table, but they would provide it for specific springs if I enumerated which ones I was interested in. Not great, but it'll do for now, I guess.

Maybe you could get them to provide that info for all their springs, then you or someone that is good with that kind of stuff, can make the table. That would be cool of you I wouldn't mind having that info too. Do you have the said chart for Eibachs?

It cannot be too hard to put a table up on the web somewhere. I sometimes
wonder if manufacturers realize the benefits they get from publishing
proper specs.

I was looking at hyperco springs for a very specific, very tight application
on my GTO and couldn't find anywhere near the amount of detail I
needed. Eventually I happened upon this page: http://kw-suspension.com/en/30_Produ...ings/index.php
which is just perfect. A huge range of springs, top quality, all the needed specs
are published.

So they will get the sale.

http://eibach.com/eibach/img/ers-catalog-2004.pdf -- Eibach has it all in their catalog.

Flink, I feel the same about a lot of stuff, if I can find details with equivalent quality, then those providing details win. But I'm not sure I have as much faith in KW as I do in Hypercoils...

I have always found Hyperco to be helpfull. They have told me specs about a range of different springs I had in mind. Work with them to find the answer you are looking for.

Randy, you were very much correct. Two emails later I have information on the four springs I care about and they'll look up any other ones for me. In fact, as I was writing this I just got a call from one of the Hyperco folks to run through some of my questions and what I was doing with the information.

Great folks to deal with!
