Default GRM $2007 "Sucker Vette" being auctioned for charity---United Way

I know most everyone on here has heard of the "Sucker Vette" that the Proctor and Gamble engineers built for the $2007 Challenge that Grass Roots Motorsports conducts every year. I just wanted to make sure that everyone knows that it is currently being auctioned off for charity ( The United Way of Cincinnati ) on e-bay.

I should have posted this sooner , but was unable due to being in California late last week and over the weekend racing cars (or trying to).

I know that this is against the forum rules, but I am defineatly a rebel and it is for a good cause.

Sorry (not really)

Nice! Glad to hear that there was some tag-team action on the project. Thankfully my computer has a parental control feature on it so I couldn't see any of the vids.

It would be sweet car to own.

I don't know what club would let you run it though.

I thought that NASA had rules against "movable" aero, that's how they outlawed the sucker car, saying the fan was a movable aerodynamic device.

The fan was firmly mounted to the floor. It wasn't movable

Default Sucker Vette

HSR seems to let anything run that can pay the entry fee!

I think that the car was sold to some museum for charity and then actually the P&G team bought it back for a marketing recruitment tool for young engineering students...

That car was a complete trip......

You could run it in TTS/U/R or ST1/2/U and STR 1/2....

Check out the dust plume at 3:35. It would be very popular for cleaning up the track after some dork has kicked dirt all over it. OTOH everyone behind it would get smashed windscreens from the rock storm.
