Our very own V8 Juice (Art Bell) with Video and Pics of the Ultimate fun HPDE car!
Our good friend Art Bell aka V8 Juice spent the past 6 months determining what direction he should follow to pursue the proper vehicle for his passion of HPDEs.
Approximately 3 months ago he made that final decision, but it wasn't official until today! Long story short, after working out details for the transaction, the final condition was a track day orientation. It was agreed!
Art and good friend Ron T. drove in from Maryland to pick up the car. I rode with Art for a session and he didn't take him long to get acclimated. To Art's disadvantage, the sliders do not permit the seat to slide forward enough for a proper driving position, as the previous owner was a very tall person.
Here is a video of a few passes on Autobahn North between T5 and Start/Finish. Again, because of the unfriendly seat position, clutch deployment was difficult, so Art just enjoyed the car with little shifting. The car sounds awesome going through the gears!

Here are some pics and you can certainly see why the new owner is smiling!
I'll let Art explain how the car is equipped. I think he told me it was bone stock!
Here's Art wrestling away the keys from the hesitant seller, Jim H. Yes, he's that strong!
See? Bone Stock!
Clean and ready to go!
Art and Ron.
Art and previous owner Jim. This pic may explain the seating requirement differences.
Art has already lined up a race with the new 430 Scud.
Taking on all comers!
Enjoy it pal, you deserve it!
See you at VIR!

You now have a GREAT track car. I should know, as that car (and driver) has hunted me down for years. Jim was 'truly' sorry to see the Vette sell, as it was his FIRST track car. He now has 4-others, and something had to go . . .
Sorry if we kept you up last night, but I WON IN SHUFFLEBOARD (against Mike) which was a first! Clearly I had the advantage in cooking as well.
Great times, super memories!
HAVE FUN!

I'm sure Art will keep the tradition going by showing this car's nose to many more rear view mirrors.

Mike loves shuffleboard because:
* It's at the track
* He doesn't have to pay Fall Line to play
*There is nothing he can break in shuffleboard (although he is trying)
* He can talk about the Beast to others while playing
* He can still wear his helmet when it is his turn
* It's an excuse for not getting coffee.....??
* The Deuce is down, the T1 has cracked rotors and the Beast needs a a) drive shaft, b) differential, c) tires --he has lots of practice time.
* He can call the end of the board "a sharp elevation change at T1"
* He can make Forum posts between his turns
Congrats on beating Mike. I slept fine, dreaming about a certain silver Z06!
Thanks Mike, you are da man!

This car has serious grip, very close to the Beast. Carrying momentum makes this a tough one to chase in the corners.

You are right, more people will see me in their rear view mirror than in front! The car is loud and scary, but I have a long ways to go before achieving the the most out of the car and getting ahead of the folks on this thread. But beware, Frank is instructing me for a day in May!
