That is awesome, I have disassembled/reassembled/rebuilt just about every brand of caliper on the market and those are just beautiful. AP is very underrated in the public eye, but when lotus uses them as an optional caliper, you know they have to be awesome.

any range on what these are going to cost? I am guessing 4-6k for the front kit?

what rotor options would be possible to use with these?

It can accomondate a 15 inch rotor, and I will let you know the price when I can. The NASCAR calipers were all billet CNC and they were that each! These are a forging and they have stainless steel, not titanium pistons, so they will ba considerably less money.

The old style AP calipers were/are $895 each. they accept an 18mm pad.

I figured once my 1 piece cobalts were all used up I'd make the swap. I just have $1,500 in C6Z pads laying around.

No no no. You've got it all wrong.

Hit the drug dealer's place. LIke they'd call the cops afterwards, and probably have lots more cash than a bank.

Nice hopefully they are close in price then. Also Gary do you make that bracket for other brakes also to adapt to c6z factory brake holes? I have seen some st60 calipers for sale but they do not come with the brackets for mounting. How much do you charge for those if so?

thanks
Derek

Certainly, Stoptech must make them? I charge $230 for the PFC caliper and the AP will be the same.

for those of us who "like to match" do they offer a rear caliper/bracket for our C6Z applications?

No, each. That is for a modular adapter than can be used for 13-14 inch rotors (the intention is to allow NAPA 13 inch rotors as well as OE C6Z rotors) . For the AP it wil be more like $190 for a specfic rotor size, i.e. 14 or 15 inch.

Yes, the piston size will be different though and the OE rear rotor is 13.3x1.0 inch. With the 1 inch rotor with in the rear, you can use a 28mm thick pad (very available, and the same price as the 25mm thick pad).

Do all the aftermaket brakes have the same lenght between the mounting bolts for calipers (not the factory bolt holes but the 2 holes that secures the aftermarket caliper)? Example say I get some st60's and then will upgrade to these AP Later on. Just curious if i would have to buy more then 1 set of brakets. thanks

No, not at all. The bolt spacing on the PFC zr33 is 210mm as well as the AP shown, but other AP's are different and well as other PFC's. The offset is different as well as the height. There are no standards here, they are all different.

Here are a couple of pad pics:
Left to right, AP, PFC zR33, Wilwood SL6R (both are used, so they have had a couple of mm's less than new)

Same order, top to bottom

Yes, in this case. That pad is also available in 28 and 30 mm as well. The 28 would fit in the rear with a 1.0 inch wide rotor.

If they are a lot lighter they should be a lot cheaper, less metal, less cost. Right?
