Pretty good call based on today's test sessions, although JB hasn't shown up yet, and in all fairness I have all of 21 laps in the dry at this track.

Last year, Tracy and I ran virtually identical lap times: 2:28 flat in the race. Buttermore's best was a 25.2 with no competition on the last lap!!! This year, the LS3 is 80 lbs lighter, but then again, Buttermore lost 60-80 lbs too because he never got close to the 3280 with the interior in.

The only major change(s) to the LS3 was a slight weight reduction and the dry sump...and of course more development time. But, I doubt seriously Tracy's going to make up nearly 3 seconds, unless JB falls asleep. As I've said before, I just don't believe that 30HP equals 170 lbs: 3280 vs 3450. ...on any track.

Mr. Lynch gets quite a bit of credit for that, I followed him for the first two laps and he showed me the way.

I bet he regrets that. Can't wait to see the video of this one.

Me too.

My car is apart getting a transmission put in. I would not have been competitive without more engine work (and there are better drivers than me), but it would have been great running with everybody listed above.

I spoke to a few guys today and the track is running very slow. One of my friends who ran his Porsche Cup car was 4 seconds slower than normal.

I'm rooting for Gaudette as it's his first time there with no crew and he put down a decent time for a slow track.

Of course good luck to all and be safe!

I forgot to out my camera in the car, just remembered with 2 minutes to go, so no video of that session.

Today (Saturday) things start to count. Yesterday, while a big boost to my confidence and morale, doesn't really mean anything, except that maybe I can run with these guys. Yesterday's grid can easily be inverted in the top six spots today, easily.

But, and this is big, this is racing, not qualifying. I am a terrible qualifier, so all I want is to be close at the drop of the green flag.

Later, DMP.
