Quality built Rear Wing and Front Splitter
I'm graduating for 2010 . . . from purpose built track car to an upgrade, including rear wing and front splitter.
My car is a 1999 C5 with LS6 motor, full cage, fire suppression, Moton's with coil-overs, trans. and diff. coolers, accu-sump, Brembo's, Fiske's, Full race slicks . . . cool suit, etc.
It seems if I want to go a bit quicker through the corners, I need downforce. I'm not looking for the 'surface mount' wings . . . more similar to a World Challenge Wing, and full underbody splitter.
This post is about referral's: Please respond with information on WHERE to buy these parts, as well as pictures of your set-up, cost involved with your parts, and recommendations for a shop to do the work.
I live near Chicago, and am open to any and all suggestions.

Call Ray at Black Dog speed shop 1-847-634-7534. They are in Lincolshire. They have a new front splitter and undertray set up. Wing, they can do a frame mount or APR. I have had my APR wing on for three years and we have covered all the original issues with it. I run at Road America 7-10 times a year and many will agree that my car is tough to beat through the corners. Straights, well I only have a head and cam LS6. If you do an APR mention if you are a NASA member for a 40% discount.

Don, this is one of the most popular Aero suppliers. Both wings and splitters http://www.aprperformance.com/ JD
This company was recommended by one of the shops I'm considering. I was concerned about their typical 'surface' mount design, and am looking for more of a world challenge set-up.

HRP supplied the Spc Trans Am wing before the series expired several years ago (the new Trans Am series is similar I suppose, but haven't seen a car in person). They are similar to the old World Challenge wing.
Corvetteracebodies.com is my top choice for C5 & C6 body panels......they were contracted by and approved by GM racing for World Challenge and Grand-Am (ie production based) Corvettes.

Black Dog Racing there in Chicago.
Most aero parts are not really bolt on and go. You can, but will they be the most effective without wind tunnel time ?
NEW tires and proper suspension set up may have more help on high speed cornering they aero parts.

I have a C6R wing on my 07 Z and it hung on at 172mph at the Miami Mile which is quite a bit faster than I usually see on tracks
Got mine at Breathless Performance

Don,
We use ACP for our cars. We would be happy to do the job for you. Those who have seen my car know the type of work I do. Our shop is in Plainfield, about 15 minutes from the Autobahn. Let me know if I can help.

ACP makes some very nice parts. I run the front undertray splitter from ACP. It's a tough peice and pretty light weight. ACP's wing is super nice but the cost may scare you a bit. With that said APR and others sell a pretty nice wing. You can use a APR and make your own frame style mounts.
We have installed a few different setups here in MN if that would help
Randy
PS ACP WC setups have been in the tunnel

Hey, great information from so many people. I'll be contacting a few of you via phone and/or PM.
It seems as though I have some great options, and a few people who know HOW to get it done.
Thanks,
Don Esbjornson
