Dave, Is your car in "full" STO trim (not that I know what that really is), T1 legal, or something in between?

Good luck and have fun!

Somewhere in between. I tool the extra weight out (3600 to 3300 lbs) and the restrictor plate goes from 45 to 60mm.

That's an interesting mix of cars David. I really haven't read much about the STO class as I thought it was for the new Z06 and the like. I'm more than a little surprised to see two C5s on your list. Are you going to race STO and T1 by changing weight and restrictor - seems that would be hard unless the groups were well spaced apart in time.

Brad,

Unfortunately it looks as thought most weekends will group STO & T1 together, so even if I had two cars (which may happen) I couldn't race both.

My plan is to qualify for the Run Offs in both classes (unless something else that I am working on comes to fruition) and then decide what to do.

I am afraid that once I drive the Viper in STO trim I will not want to go back to T1!

Hey Brad.....
David's toast. He's gonna love STO and NEVER change his car backNEVER!! His viper in STO trim at Sebring is going to be a ballbuster.....it will take a week to wipe the smile off his face. Plus.. we'll wine and dine him (well...hot dogs and beer) and we'll have our first T1 convert. Ingle is on his way....he just doesn't realize it yet. We'll get you too......just wait and see!

you know...you and James should come and play as well!!! You might have to change a few things, but this year STO goes to the runoffs. You guys would be a handful.

David,
Just curious, at 3300 lbs, do you still have weight added to your car?

Bob... One problem us NASA boys have is that we only can get a regional SCCA license.. Is there a way to get us into the two SCCA National races in Florida in Jan with our current licenses? if so I could be very tempted to come on down and play...

James....
I know that with your NASA license you can race any SCCA regional races. After you have raced 4 regional races, you can get your NAtional license.
Call the SCCA National office:1-800-770-2055 and ask for someone in licencing. Tell them about all your experience and they might just give you a national license.

You might even get a National with one "double" regional weekend. With your experience I think it is likely. I helped one newcomer to SCCA and W2W racing get that done a few years ago. It helps if a SCCA regular pleads your case...
