Talked to him via email a bit...just wasn't sure where he was looking to race now.

IF T-1 is where you're looking, I'd go with a C6. The LS2 models are doing well, and the LS3 transplant looks very promising even with the weight. Time will tell with the C5 at RA (and we're running out of time...)

Default Fast C6 T1 CAR FS

For Sale, 2005 C6 LS2 Corvette. Phoenix built from a new production car in 2005. Only 6400 total miles on the car. It won Two Nationals in 09 and set the track record at VIR. The car is very well developed and has full T1 Phoenix prep with Penske Shocks, GM performance products pieces, Bat Wing Pan, new SKF hubs and a functional DL1 Data System etc... It will make minimum weight with a 230+-pound driver. All graphics are vinyl. Numerous spares including two extra sets of wheels, brakes, rains, hubs, P.S. The above is a very good car. It also had a very good driver to set the VIR record. I dont think you can go wrong with this car. Why buy middle of the pack when you can get a front runner for slightly more.

Check with SHORT-THROW here on the forum. He's got a C5 T-1 car that he's interested in selling. It's not officially for sale, but I'm confident he'll let it go.

Good luck,

Thanks for the info.
If I go with the C6, I prefer the LS3

That's funny as heck.

It reminds me of a time "way back" when I wanted to be bigger than my current 5' 10" 190 self. Some of my buddies got their college paid for by playing football...me? I was too slow and too small. I figured with my speed I needed to be 6' 3" and 245 to make it work, and always wished for that growth spurt.

Later in life these same friends now tell me they wish they were my size for the same reason you just mentioned. They can't fit into things that I can! They are forced to drive full-sized SUVs...

Although we did get Chris Ingle to fit in the car, and I think he is every bit of 6' 4". Chris, can you confirm?
