Default Vintage 332 SBC chev engine (Group 6)

This low hour (6) .040 327 race engine was built from a 1965 chevy block. Line honed, decked, bored and honed. Then the crankshaft was nitrated, balanced, and prepped. Eagle rods with the upgraded ARP bolts were balanced and installed on the JE pistons. The heads were done by Lockerman's head service, new valves install, with a competition valve job. CompCams valve springs were installed because of the 268-268 .580 lift camshaft on a 108 LSA. A rev kit was also installed for high rpm use. With the current setup the engine is at 12.7 compression. There is also 1.6 Comp rockers installed. The pan is a wet sump road racing pan, and new oil pump were both installed for the sale (was a dry-sump). This engine was built and used for Group 6 in SVRA and other vintage race groups. If you have any additional questions please let us know!!!!

He is going to be running a SBC that was in the car last year. This engine for sale is for the tire budget.

Randy,
Nice engine....and I could use it (track or spare) BUT our vintage rules require STOCK stamped steel rockers. Rollers are NOT allowed. So....what kinda reliable rev range could I expect with stock rockers?
(PS we will be at MSR on Saturday for suspension track testing)
Thanks,

Thanks,
A comp cams stock like rocker would be good to 6800 rpm or so. If you have to run a (stock stock) one then the spring pressures would be too much and cause issues. Give Doug a call here at the shop if you have any more questions.
