Cage looks very nice as does the car.
Aluminum and steel??? Hmmmmmmmmmmm
Is that a Z06 aluminum frame or the C6 steel frame?
Did you weld (if its aluminum) to the frame????? or weld to brackets that were then bolted to the frame?

Looks like one badass machine Jerry!
They made steel plates that bolt to the aluminum Z06 frame complete with anti-crush spacers, grade 8 hardware, etc. It's definitely done right.

That is nice! It is amazing how much you get done in such a short time!
Price is certainly right on the cages. I have seen your welder's work and he does know how to string a mean bead! Head and Cam package is being shipped to the shop so I'll see you when you get back and help you celebrate a victory, too.

STO specs call for the C6Z to weight 3300lbs. My car does not have as much cage as Jerry's and I have to add 160 lbs of dead weight in right side floor board.
The LS7 also has to run a 60mm restrictor, cuts my rwhp to 441 from 518.
Great looking car Jerry. Hope you bring it to Road Atlanta in March. Can't wait to see it.

Car looks great Jerry, that is one monster cage!
Hope you and Debbie can make it up my direction in September so I can see this beast in person.
Good luck at Sebring!

Sorry for being a safety **** but...We have to look out for each other out there. It really sucks when we read about our brothers getting hurt in a sport we love. Your drivers door bars are of a poor design. I know this is done by a pro but do a search on door bar design. Unsupported NASCAR bars are basicially "death". I can't believe the pro went all out on the rear of the cage and did good classic "x" on the passenger side then just did not "think" on the driver's side where you need the most protection. Research the use of protected sill tube between A and B piller tubes and connecting your nascar bars to the sill tube and connecting your top and bottom tube to each other. NASCAR bars work by sheer mass. "X" bars work by tensioning well supported A and B pillers. Seeing your driver's door bar makes me cringe! We need all our racers to stay healthy. Good luck at the races.

441 is still approaching stock power, so you can't complain too much. What engine mods are allowed to get 518, just open exhaust and tune, or more aggressive
pretty amazing these cars are nearly as fast, and more expensive as Provrace cars of only a few years ago. Love the class but way too much money for amateur racing (if it were my money)

I run the 518 hp in ST1 with NASA. We got there with Kook's Headers, Callaway air induction and at good dyno tune by Lamar Walden here in Atlanta. Also get to take the 160lbs out for NASA.
I have no complaints when I run in the 441 hp trim with SCCA. Car is really balanced better with the weights and I don't notice much difference except for the long straight at Road Atlanta. I've had to learn how to pick up on lap times rather just depending on the power down the straights. It's made me a better driver.
