Burning Brakes
The orange /white L88 car was Alto Racing from Long Island. Feinsteins Cobra is the #2 car up on a jack !!! I raced with these guys in the mid 70's along with good friends Babe Headley, Bob Tice and Larry Whyte. Always liked Summit point . ---------- Ken McCorry

Thanks for jogging my memory. I couldn't remember who ran the #88. I do remember Feinsteins Cobra. BTW, that's me standing in front of the brown/yellow/white Corvette with a friend of mine leaning into the engine compartment. A person could get up close and personal with the cars and crews back in the day. I have more pics, just a matter of finding them......

I was fortunate enough to own & race all of the cars below from 1973 - 1978 and the last one (GT-1 Firebird) in 2002 & 2003:
My First SCCA Racecar, driver's school to regional license - 1969 A Production (1973)
Second SCCA Racer - 1969 ex-Transam A Sedan Camaro (1973)
My 1965 SCCA Corvette B Production Car, SCCA nationals & 2 TAs (1974)
My 1967 SCCA Corvette B Production Coupe, originally built by DIck Guldstrand (1975)
Our SCCA Transam Corvette, built from the frame up by me & a friend, raced 5 TAs in 1976
SCCA A Sedan "IROC" Camaro, original Penske/IROC Car, won several SCCA Nationals, 1977
Formula Atlantic Lola, pretty much an unsuccessful attempt to go "fast", last car owned in this era, 1978
The latest (and last) SCCA Racecar, GT-1 Firebird, low $$$, low budget, LOTS of fun !!! 2002-2003
C4 Corvette Track Car & last "race car" (2008)
Current "ride" 2009 - present

good stuff. I remember a few years ago we were running a GT1 vette at road atlanta and Newman was there too. He was in a camaro I think but him and his team mate just left my driver like he was in a GT2 car.
Gotta love the Group44 pics too. I have a TR8 that i have plans to make a Group44 body clone with. You can buy those body panels from some guys in Conn. that have the original molds.
