Default Different oil, different temps... how much?

My supply of oil has reached it's end and it is time to make my next purchase. I am currently running Amsoil 15W-50 in my track car. I know that thinner oil equals lower temps, but how much could I expect if I went to a 10W-40 or even a 10W-30?

The engine is a 383ci LT-4 and is about 480 bhp. Nothing TOO crazy. Any advice on what to use would be appreciated.

Here is my vote: 0

But I do like Redline 10W-40, here is a used oil analysis over the last 6 years on my mild LT1:

They are more of an LSx thing.

they inhale more oil.

i have one on my boosted stock bottom end lt1 and , despite 13 psi of boost, i get only a little oil in it .

either way though i figure its gonna keep my heads clean so i like it

but unless boosted or road racing, its a waste
