what car, C4, C5, C6, C6Z? Corvetteracebodies.com is a good place to start.

If you have a simple-nosed car that you can just add a flat plane, 1/4" foam with a layer of fiberglass on each side can be really strong. Unfortuantely, Corvettes don't have simple-noses, and general are bottom feeders from GM

ACP from mild to wild depends on what you want to spend and how well you want it to work. Do you want a splitter and an under-tray?

Used a NASCAR COT splitter (modified) for our Rolex GT C6 build. Our nose is a stock C6.
Cost 75 bucks delivered.

Blackdog is doing some nice parts. ACP stuff is good but no one can ever seem to get in touch with them.

I think that this gentleman is looking for a non-Corvette application.

E, you maybe on your own and have to custom fab one out of a sheet of carbon ($$$$) , aluminum (repairable) , or lexan. Either that or find some sauerkraut outfit that does something for your application....

If you are talking about your C4, get with Finlayson@AFX.....

Im planning on fabricating my own from .47" thick plywood covered in 1 layer of fiberglass mesh that will be easily removable for my combo use car.

Top Gear made one from wood. Then it caught on fire. Perhaps do not make it of wood.

That was a funny episode. They kept on modifying this stupid little car and the more mods they did, the slower it went around the track!

Alumalite is corrugated plastic with aluminum on both sides to provide rigidity and durability. It will not swell or corrode from the inside which makes it a perfect choice for outdoor applications. Alumalite is also lightweight and easy to fabricate.

I saw that portion of that episode too. Those guys are morons most of the time.
Mine will be sealed in fiberglass and wont be touching or near my exhaust system.

Interesting stuff. I brieflly read it and will read more later, but it looks like the sides would be open and need to be filled.

Use balsa core way lighter than plywood.

Alumalite, available from your local sign shop supplier, some sigh shops, etc........

1/4", aluminum skinned honeycomb, super low weight, very stiff, easy to work with, quite a few locals here use it, how I found out about it from a racer/sign shop owner.

I just ordered a 5'x10' sheet to build a bigger splitter for my TT car and I am using it for speaker baffles and access hole fill plates for the big holes in C6 doors.

What is the ball park cost for a 5'X10' sheet?

And are there any pictures of a home made splitter?

I do not recall what I am paying for this, have not bought any for awhile, really cost effective in bigger sheets is all I can remember for now
