must be disapointing
Corvette team is used to be in front, now BMW has almost a second faster lap time
Hope someone in Pratt&Miller can find a second FAST
Dan Brinks please give Jan a faster car, he need a solid tool to spank Bergmeister

Unfortunetly, the Flying Lizard Porsches are pretty good too and they're in front of the Corvettes.....for now. Oh, and the Vettes just moved up one spot each, it sounds like the Bimmer fail post qualifing tech!

If the above is correct, it is .576 sec..... ~.2 off of second. The BMW sister car is in 8th - I would be more worried if they were 1-2.

Don't know how I missed this.
I hope it is as competitive as the quals show. I'd rather have 8 cars about equal battling it out over the long haul than the team with the deepest pockets (most spares etc) winning it.
Top 8 are 0.01.14 seconds apart. That sounds like a great race to me.
Bonus: Video Prequel of Porsche v Corvette

Full grid may be found here
90 BMW failed the stall test in post-qualifying tech, which assumes that they are bypassing the restrictor in some way. I doubt it, but they failed regardless.
The story of qualifying is the Team Falken tire Porsche at P2; Henzler is a massive hot shoe, but having a non-Michelin, non-Dunlop development (BMW) car that fast is a huge vote of confidence for Falken tires.
The story will be (as in years past) can any of the teams' tires hold up to double stints like the Michelins can? If you look at race data and plot flying laptimes over stint length you will see the Michelins do not fall off, even over a double stint. That should gap the Michelin cars out over the balance and at that point it will come down to race day setup and strategy.
I agree with the above posts; a 12-hour race is very little about qualifying times, but it does show you that there are 9 cars across 4 makes (Corvette, Porsche, BMW, Ferrari) with very quick pace, and should make for a very heated race.
I can't wait

Gotta give to Dirk muller & BMW. They're on Dunlops. The norm upfront is usually Michelin cars. That said, most beleive that the factory corvette is the favorite this year. No excuses this year! Let's see who comes out on top?!?! I'm haven't been this excited in a while.

On Speed, they said the Vette's were running in Lemans trim too, so that may slow them a bit at Sebring.
I feel bad for Marc Goosens, that jaguar is the suck. Go #62 and #02!!

Sebring is more demanding on the cars then Le Mans

I agree with the condolences to Goose, although the guy is a flat-out great test driver, so I am sure the Jag will be making some improvements the more wheel time Marc gets.
All of that said; it is a shame that the Jag is going to France, as it is obviously off pace and has yet to finish a race.
Should make for a very entertaining day of racing.

I heard Bill Riley is on the box for them too, so that should help them get it sorted. It's just nice to see Goose back in a car!!
