More secret special upgrades.
I got one of these to see how it'd fit. 18x10.5, cheap, gobs of caliper clearance and the same weight as my 17" ccw's. and the big plus here is they wont leak!
and, a little upgrade to my truck

actually what happened was the adapter bracket bolt backed out during a race (luckily nothing happened), but when i went to back it out of the garage the next week, it siezed up against the wheel.
theyre tsw nurburgrings. yes, theyre made in china. they are rotary forged and cost 260 per wheel. i believe theyre 20 or 21 lbs.

I've been looking for a reasonable option for some 18s up front to take advantage of all the used race-rubber I see for sale. Not a lot of ppl left using 17s, so not a lot of scrubs out there. It's just been looking painful since I have 4 sets of C5Z wheels it'd be a fortune to replace 'em w/ Corsairs or something.

Theyre 18x10.5 w/ a +65mm backspace, thats slightly more backspace than a stock c5z rear wheel, which in my opinion is better as it puts the inner rim further away from the a-arms and brake ducts. At or near full lock you will probably rub on brake ducts, the A arms rubbed at full lock w/ the suspension drooped, but if the suspension was weighted down it looks like it'd be fine. BTW i plan on using these wheels all the way around, and they fit just fine in the rear as well.
The whole full lock thing really isnt an issue for me, as I don't really ever need it.
I talked to alex at http://www.thespeeddepot.com/ theyre a supporting vendor on this site, so no troubles with that.

I'm just guessing, but won't those spark going down the front straight.
Tires might help

I'm seriously considering selling the tailights off of my house to help finance the rest of the venture.
...but you're changing the subject, back to the new wheels....

Next to waiting (seemingly forever) for a set of 4 rear C5Z wheels, these seem like the best deal going by far assuming you aren't going wider than 315. I plan on getting a couple sets.
