Default header wrap

Is it worth doing?
Pros/cons?

I have went through two starters now, I assume due to header heat and the fact that they are literally an inch away from the starter.

Is there a better, lighter race starter available or is there a starter "blanket" available?

lingenfelter makes a shield, or you can save $60 and cut one yourself out of ATE can...

I have lgf shield and already put twice the number of trackdays on the replacement GM starter compared to how many cooked the original one.

Wrap will cause non stainless headers to rust.
Get a shield.
