3balls at Grattan (West Michigan) 9-11-10
Hey guys, just wanted to pass this along! The group I ran with last month, www.3ballsracing.com is having another event on 9-11-10 at Grattan Raceway in western Michigan. Would love to see more vettes out there and meet some of you guys if you are interested in another track day and are close-by!

Thanks for posting that up; you beat me to it.
This track day is going to be a little different than most of our days. There will only be two run groups and they will run every other 30 minutes. Group 1 will be open passing. As an added twist, we are going to run the track backwards in the afternoon. Cost for the event is $200.
We have been successful with the two group format for the past couple of years at our Calabogie event and I decided to try it at Grattan.
Hope to see some of you there.
Thanks
Ken

Wish I could go.
The 3balls event at Calabogie last weekend was excellent, except for the part where I grenaded my motor.
We had 25 guys from Boston make the drive.
I ran Grattan backwards/forwards with Spectator Racing a few years ago and it was really cool, like going to two different tracks in one event.

From what I remember, going clockwise, you need to really slow down after the front straight, but going backwards, you can carry a lot of speed out of the straight but that left hand turn is a killer. You need to scrub a lot of speed. I almost spun there. That little uphill "jump" isn't as bad backwards either.
Funny, exactly two years ago today.

It runs, but it sounds like it lost a rod bearing. It was on its way out years ago. I have been limping it along by adding oil every session. You and your dad should have come to Calabogie again, it was awesome.

Anyone coming have an XT Racing Ultra lap Timer? If so we could do some split times! I still need to find something to set my transmitter on track side...

Wish I could be there.
Can't get off work on Friday to make the trip
I think some of the 10/10ths crew may be heading that way though
