I got something called Molecule Refresher through the local circle track supply store. It cost $6 bucks for a 4 oz bottle last year. Part number was MOLMLRE-4.

we have a big vacuum carpet cleaner thingy with a furniture attachment. Occasionally, I'll saturate my helmet with cleaner and suck it out. A shop vac would probably also work

Depending on what brand helmet you have you can send them in to be re-lined. A friend had Simpson reline his after someone blew chunks in it. Not sure what it cost, I think around $100.

How old is the helmet? Overdue for replacement?
If not.
Be wary of applying anything that might attack the foam liner.
Consider buying or making a helmet dryer. The DIY route is
straightforward. Small cooling fans for electronic devices are
readily available in various sizes and current/voltage draws.
I have a 3" 12VDC/2.8W fan that I power with a variable voltage
power supply (1.5V to 12V). When set to 6V, the power supply
spins the 12V fan at a satisfactory noise/volume level. For
track use, consider rigging something that will power the fan
from a cigarette lighter socket.
An inline fuse with a suitable rating is always a good feature
to include in a circuit.
