2010 SCCA ProSolo Finale & Solo Nationals-Lincoln, Ne
I know there are some of our fellow CF members out there competing this weekend @ the Pro Solo Finale, and next week @ the Solo National Championships....
Just wanted to wish those of you that ARE out there good luck and hopefully some of you come home with a trophy, a Jacket and some contingency stuff ( tires, $, etc )

Looks like Matthew Braun won Super Stock at the Pro Finale in an '08 Z06. Greg Lloyd was fourth in the same vehicle. Kevin Dietz was third in a C5 Z06.
As I understand it, it's the first time for Matthew in a C6 Z06. His usual SS ride broke on Friday.

I was wondering why his name and Z06 didn't fit right...lol Guess it was a good match.
Looks like it was a fun group though..

Yeah Scott, I'm never one to have a sane sense of fun
Just seeing the all the names up there reminded me of last year. Maybe next year I'll be back in the group... albeit quite down the list...lol
Good luck to you ( and Alex and the rest ) this week. Got one of our locals running with you and I'm hoping he does well. Randy has been driving his Z pretty well so far.

Our T1 Vette is running in ASP with a noob 17 year old driver (my car owner/drivers' son) on Thurs/Friday. I will only be there Thursday to watch as work dictates my presence elsewhere..........SIGH..........
Should be a hoot!!

Good luck to your driver! That's an unforgettable experience as it is, but to be 17, and in an ASP Vette... that's a hell of a story.

Well, the 1st groups of cars finished today.... while not 'corvette' related, one of our local drivers took STUL today in her 1st time @ nationals. Her husband finished outside the trophies in a decent sized class.
SS and ASP are running in the AM
Good luck guys/gals

SS and SSL run 5th heat (last heat, end of the day) and 3rd heat.
ASP and ASPL run 3rd heat and 1st heat.
SS/SSL and ASP/ASPL are running on the same course.
By the way, you can keep up with the happenings on http://sololive.scca.com - that's the "home page" for live timing, and shows the classes and run order. Click on the class and it will provide live timing. I had problems the last couple of days; you may need to "refresh" the results page of the class you're looking at to get the updates. Not the greatest, but better than nothing at all.

In case you didn't know, Matthew's first National title was in a '93 Z07, which he still owns. I first met Matthew when he was starting out through our local Corvette club. He's also spent a year running a C5 Z06 ('05, I think?) before.
So he returned to the dark side, at least for the Pro weekend.
