Default Thunder @ The Glen Oct. 1st - 3rd Roll Call

Who's going to be there? What are you running and in what group/class?

How many Corvettes are signed up for ST2?

I hear there's quite a big group coming up from the SE! Guess they didn't freeze anything important off last year

I'll be there, again, in ST2.

Will you be there?

I should get to the track around 5'ish on Thursday.

I'm staying at the Seneca Lodge. Will probably eat at their restaurant that evening (pretty good food).

After dinner we'll migrate from the restaurant to the Senece Bar for an adult beverage or two.

You and your SIL feel free to join us for dinner and adult beverages.

What run group will you be in?

Hoping to be there around 7pm on Thursday. I'll come find you at the bar.
I'm instructing this weekend and will also run with HPDE 3 and 4 when I get a chance.

Go ahead.....rub it in
I'm hoping to semi-retire in Ithica but at the rate taxes are going that may never happen. I'll have to settle for somewhere in PA halfway between Pocono and the Glen but on the Eastern side so Limerock and NJMP aren't to far.

Damn! We have 10 ST2 cars already for the 10/2 & 10/3 races with over 3 weeks to go.

That's the biggest ST2 field I've seen since the 2007 Nationals.

True but they aren't going to provide any challenge
The weather says temps below freezing Sunday morning and in the 30's and low 40's Friday and Sat. mornings. They will never thaw

Damn, I had to bail.

Monday I noticed what appeared to be a hair in my left eye. When I tried to get it out, there was nothing there, but it kept appearing. Also, when I walked into a dark place, I would see flashes of light when I moved my eye.

So, as a precaution I went to see my optometrist yesterday. He said it shouldn't be a problem, but he sent me to an opthamologist this morning for further diagnosis.

He looked at it and said that I have vitreous detachment, which isn't too serious, but that I couldn't do anything that might jolt the eye. He said not to go racing because of the G loads and possible hits it could lead to more serious (detached retina) issues. He said to let it heal, which these things do, over the next couple of weeks and I should be good to go after that.

So, in light of his advice, sadly, I had to cancel about an hour ago.

From what I've seen the weather should be pretty good. Sunday could be a little iffy, but that's a small chance.

Sorry I won't get to meet you, I was looking forward to it.

Be safe and Give 'em Hell!

Sorry to hear that. Here's praying that everything heals and is good to go in a few weeks Maybe I'll get a chance to come down south this winter for some track time. I'll look you up if it works out.
If not then maybe next year.

Yes it would be nice to leave the Glen with the car all in one piece
