Did you dyno tune after the equipment upgrade? I'm having my LSX102 installed this week, and next on the list (before I even see it) is the dyno . . .

I agree.

Let's have a lot more detail about the motor:
  • Displacement
  • Bore
  • Stroke
  • Compression Ratio
  • Heads
  • Camshaft Specs - lift - int duration - exh duration - Lobe Separation Angle
  • Headers - primary tube length - tube diameter
  • Fuel used
  • RPM range - 2,000 rpms to 7,500 rpms?
  • Etc.

I know the car has a C5R motor thats fully built. I think it's a 427ci motor but not sure. Some NASCAR shop in NC built the motor I think but not positive. I looked into buying the car when it popped up for sale once and everything on the car is the best out there and I'm sure the motor is no exception.

Johnny: Glad to see that you got it running again and a new motor in it. What did it make for hp/tq?

That is way too much air for a stock LS6. You would have been better off with a ported stock unit or 85mm. I am surprised you saw any kind of gain. It will help more on a built engine though.

the new plan is to build a LS-3 at 427 or so..then the extra air may be put to good use..

This. The FAST 102 was designed with big cube motors in mind. Like an LS3 416 and up..

Nice My sponsor shop CMS (board sponsor too) is building a 416 LS3 for my 2002 Camaro SS right now. It will be a very healthy car when done

that seems to be the going rate on a stock cube car. id love to get one on my 416 and see what it would do, but even on bigger cube cars on LS1tech, the gains are not worth the 1500+ money.

Johnny, I'd bet your being resticted by the maf or tract ahead of the TB.

The LS6 Fast will not work on the LS7 heads. Different intake port shape. They have LS6 and LS7 specific versions.

On my LS7 build, the 100mm throttle body only delivered gains when paired with the 103mm MAF and a giant air filter. One day I might get around to swapping the ported LS7 intake with the 102mm FAST. I dont expect to see much ain, just hopefully fill in the upper middle of the power band a little.

even on my 416 my 85mm MAF is not pinged out...close but not. so a 346 will be just fine with one.

he just needs to add some TFS 215 heads for that intake
