Is 18 x 9.5" square set up too narrow for track tires?

Default Is 18 x 9.5" square set up too narrow for track tires?
Come across good deal on SSR GT7 wheels. I would end up with 4 18 x 9.5 I could use for track days. Is that too narrow to run any decent width track tires?
