What do you do with worn parts?
Like the title says, I'm wondering what you guys do with old or worn racing parts, like brake rotors, bearings, shocks, etc. I'm thinking about building a coat rack for work with a motörhead theme and I was wondering if old parts are recycled or discarded. Perhaps I can check for scraps at some local speed shops.

I use cracked rotors to patch potholes in my driveway.
I hoard all the other used parts - three wore out torque tubes at last count, calipers, brackets, blown up LS1s/LS6s, several diffs, trans, switches, interior bits, excess engine stuff, scuffed body parts, and almost everything else that comes off. I use about 1% but it is a disease I hear. I never ever toss a bolt from a C5/6 unless it is bad...

It's best to replace parts before they break! If I'm preventively maintaining bearings, hubs, studs, cooling system parts etc then I'll toss the old part in the trailer - it still has life in it and might get me or a pal out of a fix at the track.

I keep all the stuff I removed form the car during it's transition as I could not be bother to sell it or if I convert back at 90 and want visors, rugs and all the other crap.

I hope not but my 64 Galaxy 427 exhaust manifolds are going on eBay soon. Pretty sure I will not need them!

I belonged to a car club at Purdue (the Purdue Automotive Performance Association). We got old parts from our cars and a shop down there. We then made trophies for our car show we put on durring the Purdue Grand Prix. Some are elaborate whith camshafts, gears, etc. while some are simple like an intake vavle stuck into a trophy base.

That is fair. I have cars that even the gas gap is useless - according to my wife anyway.
