gt2 vettes changed tire sizes?
according to road and track it looks like the vette gt2 tire sizes have changed from years past.
anyone know why they are running a different size then the old standard of the michelin 300-65-18 and the 31-71-18???
they are now running 300-32-18 and 31-41-18'? any reason for the change??

Melting Slicks
Probably a speed difference. They did the same thing when the C6R GT1 came out and were testing for Daytona 24. They decreased the rear tire size slightly and found 2-3 mph more on the straights iirc

Should be
300x650x18
310x710x18
650 tire is 25.59" tall and the 710 was 27.95" tall. Which is what we ran on our car.
300mm wide, 650mm tall on an 18" wheel.
To me it looks like they are measuring the tire differently, the 41 might be 41% of the width...like what you would find on a normal street tire so that would make the tire 28.00" tall.
