Seat Cushion Restraint
Someone makes a removable cushion that fits in a standard seat and keeps you from sliding around. Its obviously not as good as a real race seat but is certainly an improvement.
Does anyone have one or know where to get one ???????

It was designed to even be scca stock solo legal as a "cushion " is allowed.
It was about $100.

Very serious Howie
Go buy some rubber tool box liner. Cut it fit the bottom of your seat. Put it on the existing seat cushion and sit on it. Give it a try.
a few bucks is all it will cost you.
Leather is just too slippery to sit on.

Ok an other option Cheap as it may be, buy a pair of sports knee pads.
put one on each knee, but rotate the pad part to the out side of the knee.
cheap options, until you get a race seat

Not goofy at all, I use both the knee pads & the tool box liner. They work very well. That link is the one I was referring to. He needs to do something to his web site to make it easier to google.

DH,
Dual use cars are always a safety compromise. I do not know how the seat cushion keeps you sliding to the driver's door but be sure there is no possible way it can come loose and interfere with your seat airbag function. Eventhough you are not racing it is still very possible to spin and take a hit on the doors from the guy behind you.

The pads are wrapped in some fabric material which connects them together and then you sit on it so they stay in place.
I'm definitely going to give it a try and then I will report back what I think. I'm hoping it will take 5 seconds off my times
BTW are you coming to ACS for the Corvette Challenge Final???
