Those guys really had class - sure there was bumping, but not the Nascar type where they routinely wreck a gazillion dollar car "cuz it's racin." If that race/those announcers/that battle up front didn't get your heart pumping, turn in your Man card and go visit your cardiologist! : )

Those in-car sounds were orgasmic.

Were some of those cars the Holden Monaro's? LSx's in those?

http://www.v8supercars.com.au/

Link is fun, unlike other series, this is a TV promotional site and
I can't find any thing about tech or the cars. I know they talk
about 650 HP fairly regularly and the racing is just a blast to
watch. Ford Falcon FG and Holden Commodore VE are the listed
cars. I became a Loundes fan a couple years ago in a Falcon and
still like his style in the Commodore.

I have been watching those guys since they started putting it on the sat here and love it, mostly Sometimes they get a bit carried away and sometimes the rules enforcers tick me off but overall, very serious, hard core, real racing.

I love the mountain course the best, by far.

The surfers race, look at the long list of star drivers!

Of course, a paid vacation in the off season(at least for most) or retired drivers, probably pretty fat paycheck as well, to AU, who would not sign on and get to really race, ***** out!

The first race had to many wrecks, a bit out of control even for these knuckleheads( I love them The second race, one of the best all year of any racing on the planet!

I was a bit shocked he just did not let him by but when that good, I guess you just plan to drive through whatever he does and that kid was pretty damn responsible, obviously a super star in the making.

I wish fans here could be like they are in AU, just imagine all those NASCAR junkies figuring out what the really cool racing is

(Of course I do respect the driving ability in NASCAR but I only go to road course events)

Rick
