Default end links poping...question

So I put on the T1 sway bars...The guy I bought them from said he had 2 LG links with them. Turned out they only had 1 bolt per link So I used the stockers knowing they pop....Ive only done the rear one so far and do notice the pop, but just at slow speeds turning sharp, but my question is....what the hell makes the pop noise? they arnt THAT much bigger than my Z bars, and they never made a peep..

1 per link is pretty common. I've split a pack of VBP's over 2 cars, good economics IMO.

Are the links popping, or is it the bar. If there is any preload in the bar, is can be forced to one side and bump against the control arm (or other suspension)

they are stock endlinks, so there is no adjustment...how could the bar pop? I also put a little grease in the rubber bushings so the bar could move more freely

I thought the bolt hole in the T1 bars was bigger than the hole in my stock C5Z06 bars. Could it be that the bar is banging on the endlink bolt since the hole would be oversized for the stock endlinks?

exactly, that's why I was asking. The OEM holes are 12mm, the T1 holes and probably aftermarket end links are 1/2". And even if you have OEM endlinks, the bar can slide to one side and hit.

Lots of things could be making noise.....

If you use a solid link on one side & adjustable on the other doesn't that essentially change the "length" of the bar on each end, even if by a little bit?
