Default autocross/roadrace forum? yeah!

i can't believe this forum exists! where has it been all of my life? i monitor regularly the c5 test/tune section but ran across this forum trolling for info on current events at gateway in st louis. i am a corner worker at gateway and am actively involved working club, scca, nasa and any other road race event that comes along. anyway, thanks for having this forum and i will monitor it as well. how about one of you high $ members stepping up and buying gateway so that road racing can continue at gir and i can still have some fun relatively close to home!

There are other section of the Corvette Forum?

Who'd guessed! Some of us never venture out of this section.

Anyway, welcome to the cult.

This forum has been extremely helpful in my pursuit of HPDEs and road racing. Especially the big sticky.

well, it's completely shut down for now but this is our closed season anyway. will tell come early march when club events and scca starts in our area. i plan on going there in a couple of weeks to see if the walllace grandstands have been removed as rumored. apparently, the clubs have submitted schedules to use the track (roadrace) if they can so we will see what happens. i don't think there will be any oval action but the road course and drag strip are still viable. there has been talk that there are several bidders in the wings waiting for bankruptcy to be completed and then the leases can be renegotiated. apparently, nascar oval turns 3,4 are under lease along with some other parcels. there are a lot of rumors spreading but gateway admin. workers have not validated any. maybe arca can visit or it may be turned into a dirt track oval or the adrl sheik will buy it to support drag racing and many, many other rumors including that it will almost certainly continue in a limited venue. we'll see!
