Default Audi unveils GT4 customer race-car concept

http://www.autoweek.com/article/2010...ORTS/101129918

Audi plans to sell the TT GT4 for about 120,000 euros, or about $157,000 at the current exchange rate. But the car is unlikely to make it to U.S. tracks; Audi plans to target European and Asian markets.

The TT GT4 is designed for racers who want to buy a complete package from the factory.

The front and rear aprons and rear wing are based on the Audi TT RS. The TT GT4 is fitted a turbocharged engine rated at about 340 hp, a roll cage and a safety-optimized fuel tank box. The hood, doors and trunk lid are made of carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer and the windows of plastic. The race car includes Audi's S-tronic dual-clutch transmission, a differential lock and a modified production suspension with adjustable dampers and 18-inch alloy wheels.
