Ride height with coilovers question
Hey guys,
I've installed a set of the LG G1 sway bars on my C5 Z06, and now I'm installing a set of LG G2 coilovers. I'm wondering where to start when I set the ride height. I use Kumho V710 tires.
The second part of my question is do you guys think that a car used primarily for HPDE events should be corner weight balanced? Is it worth the expense? I know that's a very subjective question.
Thanks in advance for the help!
Bill

LG will ship them out with their standard ride height, unless you specify exact what you want.
Personally I think corner balancing is a good thing for HPDEs. Especially since you are spending the money on a suspension that is built for that.
The shop I went to did the alignment, ride height and corner balancing for my 50/50 use of track and daily driver. It is great!

Having recently installed the G2/G1 set-up on a C6Z, I am also curious what others are running - stock height or dropped? My car tended to bottom out on bumpy sections of the track at stock height. Improvement with the bilsteins but still scrapes a bit. Also, who in the Houston area performs corner balancing?

On both my Father In Law's C5Z and my C6, the shop raised the hieght from the default install. Of course we got a mild setup because we drive the cars on the street too.
I dont know about a shop in Houston...but we went to PST in Dallas out at MSR Cresson, and I highly recommend them.
