The Zr1 tranny would be the best solution. All the gears are close ratio. First goes over 60mph and 5th is .80 and 6th is .63. I am one of the pit crew members on terry free's corvette and with this tranny his lap times ahve come down about 1/2 second or so. At AAA speedway the car sound like he's still pulling hard on the front straight instead of blah like it was with the stock tranny. He is a little over 5mph faster on the front straight at AAA speedway and at big willow which is around 162mph.

When I switched from 1/4 to RR I had 4.10s with 460rwhp. It took all of 1 track day to switch to 3.73s which was a nice match for that HP. When I installed the ls7 engine in my c5 I changed to 3.42s. I have heard comments from my videos asking if I ever shift. I say I try not to.

My next setup will be the zr1 setup.
