Kirkey seat install w/o cage
Looking at the Kirkey seat for my 2004 Z06 but install says to bolt to roll cage. Can this seat be insalled in a car w/o roll cage? If so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I assume you have a harness bar? If so, get the seat back brack from I/O port and use that. That's what I've been running for nearly a year now in my TTA car. Just removed it all since the cage is going in.

Another vote for Hardbar rails and a Kirkey seat. That's exactly what I have in my 2000 C5 track car.

Rails?
Yes it can. I had my original Ultrashield installed w/o a seat back brace and it worked fine. However, this isn't recommended becuase if you get hit hard from behind the seat back could fold over.

I have mine bolted to the seat rails under the seat using one of the bolts that holds the front vertical piece in place. You can get bolt-in belt ends for the smaller belts too (vs. clip-ins). I don't have any pictures though.

I just installed my Ultrashield's on a set of factory manual sliders.
I used some angle aluminum to attach the seat the sliders with another strip of aluminum between the seat and the angle peice.
Grade 8 bolts to secure everything, lock washers and decent size flat washers to keep the bolts from pulling through. It's pretty sturdy and tough
I do plan on fabbing up a brace like the I/O Port once I get the harness bar installed.

I bolted mine to the very back holes on the seat rails run the belt under the seat and through the sub-belt hole. I've seen a fiberglass seat can't remember the name that had hard points in the seat bottom for the sub-belts so I imagine you can drill and mount there also.
